PHP POST Login to an external website

Hi. I have 2 websites.

(this is just an example)
Website A - http://websitea.com and Website B - http://websiteb.com

I want website A to login using post to Website B. On Website B I have set an authentication system using .htaccess and .htpwds.

How can I do this?
