Problem formating input field and textarea

Hi,

I'm having a small problem with a form i'm trying to build. The form basically contains a few input type="text" and a textarea element. I'm using table to give some shape to the form and here is the real problem i can't seem to format in the same size the input field and textarea. If i define col=50 on chrome it will be ok in chrome and opera but not on IE, Edge, Safari or Firefox. If i format the size for Firefox it won't show properly in chrome or opera.

I know that this is a begiers problem but i have research online and didn't found a correct answer to this malformation.
